Stories from the Other Side

This was my first time commissioning art so I was a little nervous at first about what to expect. But Jan made the process super easy, and the character blueprint sheet was a big help! Jan was incredible to work with, and the detail really shows. I cannot recommend Jan enough!

Connor C.

My experience here was absolutely amazing! I needed some character art for a short campaign I'm participating in. Jan was quick to respond and gave me tons of updates for corrections along the way! I always appreciate being able to put my input into the piece during the process.

Riley E.

Absolutely incredible communication, very sweet, and the work really speaks for itself! Was done very quickly and WELL worth the cost! I will absolutely be a repeat customer whenever i have the funds!

Daytona F.

Jan did an incredible job bringing Meliorys (my first ever art commission) to life! This artist understood the assignment. It was very clear to me that a lot of thought went into design choices. I will definitely be coming back for more character art commissions! Highly recommend!

Kaitlyn

I have so many great things to say about working with this artist! I really wanted character art for my campaign, as a gift to my adventuring party. Not only did I love their take on our characters but each member of my party loved how everyone turned out. I cannot recommend this artist enough.

Emily H.

If you are looking for someone to bring your character to life then look no further! I contacted Jan to bring my DnD character to life after my last commission for my character fell through. Jan was absolutely wonderful! I tell you that I couldn't be happier with the results

Kassandra

Bring your BG3 character to life with a personalized portrait. This Tiefling rogue exudes shadowy charm and danger—complete with crimson horns, a dark cloak, and dagger detail. Perfect for Baldur’s Gate 3 fans who want their hero immortalized in art.

This is my first time commissioning an artwork from somebody so I was a little uncertain, but this seller was amazing they kept me updated the whole time and the art perfectly resembled what I wanted even after I forgot a relatively annoying thing they worked to add it in.

Ellie S.

Absolutely gorgeous original artwork and done quicker than I expected. Jan did an excellent job capturing just what I wanted in a character.

Whitney S.

Bring your forest-born hero to life with a custom Dungeons & Dragons portrait. This wood elf druid radiates natural magic, glowing fireflies, and vivid detail—crafted to capture the spirit of your character. Perfect for players, storytellers, and fantasy collectors.

I had my OC brought to life by this amazing artist. She made sure to really get any details that I would want. My character came out SO beautifully that I ended up just buying another. Absolutely recommend!

I had an incredible experience with this artist! Their talent is truly remarkable, and their friendly demeanor made the whole process enjoyable. They took the time to patiently explain each step of their creative process, ensuring I understood everything along the way.

Sora S.

This entire process was absolutely amazing. The artwork, Jan's response time. 10/10 absolutely recommend. The one issue we had in communication got fixed very speedily. Will be coming back later for another service.

Andy L.

Paid attention to every character detail I mentioned! Was very friendly and professional and produced a high quality (not to mention STUNNING) product in a timely manner.

Why Choose FondlyFramed

👋 I'm Jan. I've been where you are right now.

I built FondlyFramed because I watched too many players give up before ever seeing their heroes properly. After 300+ characters brought to life, I've proven there's a better way.

Your character deserves an artist who asks questions, who cares about getting that scar placement right, who understands why that specific shade matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I order through this private listing?

This listing is for the commission we’ve agreed on together. You’ll find the portrait size, characters, add-ons and other agreed details in your quote.

Have a quick look before paying to make sure it matches what we discussed. If anything looks different, just ask me.

Ask me about your quote →

When will I see my first portrait preview?

You’ll see your first polished preview in about two weeks.

Those two weeks start once you’ve checked out, I’ve got all your character details, and we’ve confirmed the brief together.

The commission is paid in full before painting starts. For a complex project split into parts, each payment covers the piece we paint next.

We’ll agree on the scope and timing for that part first. Revisions and larger group scenes can add time after the first preview.

I’ll keep you posted along the way, and you can check the progress in your private commission hub.

Who will be working on my commission?

👋 Hi, I’m Jan! I personally work on every portrait, with help from my team of vetted artists.

You’ll talk directly with me throughout your commission, and every piece gets my personal quality check before it reaches you.

You’re also supporting working artists when you commission us. Every artist who helps bring your portrait to life is paid for their work.

What if I don't have visual references?

A written description is absolutely fine. Start with whatever you can picture clearly.

Tell me what they look like and which details feel most like them. Their outfit or expression is a good place to begin.

If you’re still deciding on a detail, just let me know. We can work it out together.

Sketches, Hero Forge screenshots or pictures with a mood you love are welcome too. They can help show something that’s hard to put into words.

For a little help getting your ideas down, the free Character Quest gives you a blueprint you can use as your brief.

What if my request is something you cannot paint?

Unusual characters and complicated details are welcome. Send me your idea before ordering so I can confirm the scope and quote any extra work.

I don’t take on NSFW or heavy gore. If you’re unsure where your idea fits, feel free to send it over and ask.
