How do I get started?
Easier than rolling initiative.
1. Grab your place on the waitlist and I'll text you a private to checkout when your spot is ready.
2. Head to the Character Blueprint Quest. It takes about five minutes and walks you through everything I need to know about your character. Race, class, appearance, backstory, all of it.
Some clients go deep with the details. Others keep it simple and let me interpret. Both work great.
3. I review your blueprint and follow up within 24 hours. If anything's unclear, I'll ask a few quick questions to make sure I've got your vision right. Then I start painting.
4. Your polished portrait arrives in about 2 weeks. You get unlimited revisions until it feels like your character. If the first concept misses the mark entirely, you get a full refund.
I accept all commissions except NSFW or heavy gore. In the rare case I can't take yours, you get a same-day full refund.
After I deliver your polished first draft (around 2 weeks), you have 3 days to decide if it feels right. If not, email me and I'll refund your full commission price.
Once revisions start, the guarantee ends.

Can you draw complex/homebrew characters?
Yes. I've painted hundreds of complex, homebrew, and unusual characters. Custom races with multiple appendages, intricate magical effects, unconventional designs. If you can describe it, I can paint it.

Can I have multiple characters in a portrait?
Yes. For group portraits, each character needs its own individual order.

I combine all characters into a single group composition with a custom background
Orders of three or more characters include a free custom background. I'll handle the details when we get there.

I absolutely love this commission! The character is a really fun concept—an Eladrin bladesinging wizard/rogue whose appearance and personality shift with the seasons—and Jan did an incredible job bringing that idea to life.
Each of the four seasonal versions feels distinct and full of personality. The different color palettes, small accessory changes, background details, and expressions add so much to the concept and really capture the different vibes I roleplay for her. It’s such a cool way to represent the character, and Jan executed it beautifully.
I especially love the details like the flying sword and the familiar—they add so much energy and personality to the piece and make the whole composition feel dynamic and alive.
Jan was also wonderful to work with throughout the process. She was very responsive and super easy to collaborate with when I requested changes, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. I’m incredibly happy with how everything turned out and would absolutely recommend working with her for D&D character commissions!

This character was someone who ONLY existed as an idea. I never wrote down a character sheet, tried to draw her, or anything like that. She was just something I made online once, inspired by a story. It was fun playing with her like a toy of sorts, but Jan has turned her into what I can only describe s a living thing. The color choices and the way they blend, the shapes, and the environment behind her. I don't know where or how Jan learned to draw like this, but it's easy to see that they can because they love to. Honestly I was scared at first, because I'm really picky with art, especially for my own creations.
But this experience was beside of the anxiety and doubt, worth it.
Jan managed to gather anything I described about the character into the picture, that I nearly heard her speaking out of it. Her eyes let alone, with the energy all together seemed to be alive.
It was a very easy and fast process and I have to come back again, for the friends this charaster has. I do love the artstyle very much, fits my idea of fantasy, it does kinda also look like something they would draw in this fantasy world by themself.

Franzer was and is a character near and dear to my heart. The little troublemaker needed the right hand to capture the moxie and chutzpah of his personality, and Jan did that in spades. This was my second portrait with Jan, and as the first, she was very responsive to my wants at the start, and my comments for adjustments and tweaks - during the process she essentially invented an insignia that I intend to use as his mark in the future.

Resubmitting a review because autocorrect got Jan's name wrong! Initially saw their art on Instagram and was immediately excited by the idea of a moving image of my character. From the quest to the blueprint to the actual commission process the entire journey was fun, transparent and collaborative. I hadn't commissioned anything for an OC or d&d character for myself before and this turned out spectacular. This is the second portrait I've comissioned from Jan of my girl Tav, and once again I could not be happier with how it turned out. It was an amazing experience to develop my character, from the free archetype adventure on the webpage, to the smaller details and clarifications, I never felt that it was a chore for Jan to draw what I had in mind, even if I was apprehensive at first. This was my first commissioned art piece & I wasn't sure what to expect. I went in with the assumption that I'd probably be a little disappointed with the final product because I didn't exactly know what to ask for. But Jan did such a great job on Tyffan'i that I ended up buying both versions.
I basically gave the guidelines 'College of Dance Bard/Spring Eladrin/no pirate-y bard outfits/secretly writes romance novels under a pen name so maybe add some books/make it so much more pink than you think is enough pink' & they somehow still knocked it out of the park.
