D&D Character Portrait Commission | Your Hero Finally Visible
For a custom D&D character portrait, start with the details the image needs to show and the place you intend to use it. That is what determines the crop, scope and references.

At FramedFantasy, I work on each commission with my team of artists. We paint and refine the portrait around the character you describe. You can help us by making the important decisions clear before work begins.
Choose one of the three offered formats
| Format | Choose it when |
|---|---|
| Half-body | The face and upper-body details do most of the work. |
| Thigh-up | You want more outfit, posture or equipment in the frame. |
| Full-body | The whole stance, lower outfit and silhouette matter. |
Discuss the exact crop with the artist. A format name alone does not guarantee that a particular hand, weapon or companion fits.
Send a brief with clear priorities
Begin with the character's name, appearance, outfit and intended expression. Add the details that must stay correct, then attach a small set of labeled references.
If you are asking for design help, say which parts are undecided. Inventing an outfit or changing the whole pose is different from following an established design.
Check the quote beyond the price
Confirm the background, extra characters, final files and usage permission. Ask how updates and approvals work, and tell me about a gift or printing deadline before booking.

Use the current character portrait listing for the available options, and confirm availability before booking.
Review the image against the agreed request
Point to the detail you want changed and explain what should be different. Keep related feedback together so the artist can see the complete direction.
Refinements need to stay within the original brief. Ask about added work before requesting a different outfit, major pose change or additional subject.
Read the current refund policy and terms of service before paying, including the concept-stage approval and revision conditions.
Make the portrait useful after delivery
Keep the original file somewhere safe and make separate copies for tokens, character sheets or printing. Check each smaller crop at the size people will actually see.
