what the inn says after you leave

Walk your character out of Orin’s inn, then listen at the door.

Your character has had the corner seat at Orin’s inn since sundown. Now it’s time to go, and there are four ways out. Pay and tip at the bar, slip out on the tab, leave with the stranger in the very big hat, or go out the window.

Listen at the door. Once the door shuts, your character creeps back and puts an ear to it. Roll a d20 for Perception. 12 or higher and you hear what the regulars say about your character. A natural 20 hushes the whole room, and a natural 1 opens the door on you.

Mags runs a betting book on how each guest leaves, Orin chalks every unpaid tab over the door, and nobody in there can say what your character looks like.

Find out who your character really is.
