what should we build next
Nine scenes that aren’t built yet. Pick the one you’d play first.
Nine small D&D scenes that aren’t built yet, each pitched in a line or two. Here they are.
The feather that grows at midnight. Every midnight an old wizard’s hat grows a feather with a power nobody has tried. Wait for the twelfth stroke, then roll to see what tonight’s feather does.
Liar’s dice with a card sharp. He swears he never bluffs, and his ears go red every time he does. Bid on the dice under both cups, then call his bluff or raise it.
The mimic in the lost and found. The lost and found chest is eating the lost things. Feed it the one thing it hates, and roll to pull your hand back in time.
The night watch at the gate. You hold the gate till dawn, and every hour a gift turns up on the step. Roll Perception to catch the next one arriving.
The song that keeps changing. A bard is writing a song about your character. Pick a line for each verse from what the tavern shouts.
The map that redraws itself. Set a river, a ruin and a road, and the map draws a region for your next session with three places and a hook for each.
The familiar that ran off. A raven got out last night. Search the village roof by roof, and every wrong roof turns up something else that went missing.
A duel at dawn. Your character duels at dawn, and their second keeps offering to take the hits. Pick the terms, then roll three exchanges.
The dragon’s tax collector. A very polite kobold is collecting the dragon’s tax. Haggle, stall or pay in something strange.
One adventure is ready to play now, the Character Quest.
