A NOTE FROM JAN
Years before any of this existed, I tried to get my own character painted.
It took way too long. It's also why everything here is built to be easy.
It started on Instagram.
I found an artist whose work stopped me mid scroll, sent a careful little message, and waited.
For days.
Commissions were closed, or the message just sat there on read.
So I posted on Reddit instead.
Close to a hundred replies flooded in, and for a second it felt easy.
Then I looked closer.
The same images sat in two different portfolios.
Suddenly I was playing detective, just to get a picture of my character.
I made it through all of that and found someone good.
But it shouldn't take all that to see your own character.
That's why FramedFantasy exists.
It began on Etsy, with me painting characters for strangers on the internet.
Since 2022 I've painted more than a thousand of them.
And everything about how it works now goes back to that first commission.
There's no artist to hunt down.
You join the line once, and I text you when it's your turn.
There's no brief to write either.
The Character Quest turns your character into a blueprint while you play.
And about two weeks after your turn, you meet your character for real.
Seeing your own character shouldn't be hard.
Over five hundred five star reviews have come in since.
Around nine in ten of the people I paint for had never commissioned anything before.
A first commission puts you in good company here.
Joining the line costs nothing and doesn't order anything.
If you're already in it, your next turn is on the calendar, and I'll text you before it.
Either way, thanks for sticking with me through that one.
