mini adventures in the hall

Three heroes bring Ember something broken. Work the forge and mend all three.

It’s night at Ember’s forge in the Hall of Heroes. The coals glow under the iron hood, the bellows wait beside the hearth, and Soot the Hall cat sleeps on its warm end.

Three heroes of the Hall bring Ember something broken. A pauldron rusting through, a shield that took a hit meant for the cleric, and the split ring off an old axe. Ember takes each piece from their hands and lays it in the coals. You pump the bellows, then strike at the anvil each time the metal glows its brightest. Land all three strikes at the very top of the glow and the anvil sings.

Every mended thing goes up on Ember’s rack, and a brass plate keeps the count.
